CLARKSON REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICES INC
Clarkson Regional Health Services is an Omaha-based nonprofit organization that has worked to improve and advance healthcare since it formed Omaha's first hospital in 1869. Clarkson Regional Health Services uses data analytics, internal project development, and philanthropic partnerships to continue its mission of supporting innovative healthcare delivery solutions that align quality, cost-effective services with select population needs. History: Robert Harper Clarkson, the first bishop of Nebraska for the Episcopal Church, formed what later became known as Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha in 1869. The physical size, scope of services, and location of the hospital evolved through the years allowing Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital to remain a leader in medical innovation. In 1997, Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital and the University of Nebraska first entered into a joint operating agreement and later officially merged operations to form what is known today as Nebraska Medicine. Clarkson Regional Health Services is still a co-member of Nebraska Medicine but is no longer immersed in day-to-day hospital operations. It continues to make an impact on healthcare in the area through mission-driven programming and philanthropic support.
