Director Of Advising at Clarkson University

Catherine Avadikian has a long and extensive work experience at Clarkson University. Catherine began their career there in 1983 as a Curriculum Counselor for Industrial Distribution Majors, assisting them with course enrollment, graduation, career advising, and more. Catherine then served as an Assistant to the Director, handling administrative activities and advising Engineering and Management majors. From 1997 to 1999, they were also an Academic Advisor and Program Coordinator for approximately 350 students. Catherine'sresponsibilities included recruitment, advising, and coordinating various academic programs. In 2000, Catherine became the Director of University Studies and First-Year Advising, where they managed an academic program for undecided freshmen and provided support to student groups. Catherine went on to become the Director of University, Engineering, and Science Studies from 2001 to 2003. In recent years, Catherine has taken up leadership roles as the Director of the Bachelor of Professional Studies program and the Office of University Advising, where they assist with strategic planning, coordination, and training.

Catherine Avadikian completed their education at Potsdam Central High School. Catherine then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a double major in Sociology and Technical Communications at Clarkson University from 1993 to 1997. In 2001, they completed their Master's in Education (M.Ed) from St. Lawrence University.
