Cesar Augusto dos Santos

Cesar Augusto dos Santos has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Cesar Augusto began their career in 1995 as an IT Consultant at Banco Safra, where they worked for three years. Cesar Augusto then joined Bell South Telecommunications | BCP Telecom as a Senior Business Consultant from 1998 to 2000.

In 2000, Cesar joined Claro Brasil, where they held various leadership positions. Cesar Augusto started as a Coordinator and progressed to become an IT Senior Manager from 2005 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Director of IT for IT and Business Transformation for Mobile/Wireless Services. Subsequently, they became the Director of IT for Claro | NET | Embratel, leading the IT initiatives for Mobile, Cable and Satellite TV, Broadband, and Full BSS/OSS and Transformation program for convergent platforms. Cesar Augusto also supported the Executive Committee in achieving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and time-to-market.

In 2017, Cesar was appointed as the Head of Information Technology - CIO at Claro Brasil, a position they currently hold. In this role, they continue to provide strategic leadership and direction in the IT department.

Additionally, in 2021, Cesar became an Associate Member & Investor at BR Angels, an Angel investment group focused on fostering the development of Brazilian Startups.

Cesar Augusto dos Santos has an extensive education history. In 1989, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Católica de Santos. Cesar Augusto later pursued a Project Specialization program in Project Planning at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2002 to 2003. In 2006 to 2007, Cesar obtained an MBA in Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Cesar Augusto further enhanced their skills by attending the Silicon Valley - Learning Experience program at StartSe in 2019, focusing on the Culture of Innovation. In 2022, Cesar completed the Executive Leadership Program at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management. Cesar Augusto also received certification in the Board Member Certification Program, Corporate Governance from Fundação Dom Cabral in the same year. Additionally, Cesar holds several certifications, including being recognized as one of the HITEC 50 - Top 50 most influential/notable Hispanic Professionals in the Technology Industry in Ibero-America by HITEC in 2022. Cesar Augusto also obtained the Digital On Board - Conselho Digital certification from HSM in 2021 and is a certified Board Advisor for Startups from Altivia Ventures.
