Christina Burgess, MLS has a diverse work experience. Christina began their career in 2010 as a Child Care and Administrative Assistant at IUPUI Center for Young Children. In the same year, they took on a Marketing Intern role at The Great Books Foundation, where they were responsible for contacting authors and estates while compiling the Science Fiction Omnibus and maintaining a database of contracts for the aforementioned publication. In 2011, Christina worked as a Children's Programming Assistant at Greenwood Public Library and a Librarian and Technology Coach at Kelloggsville High School. Christina also took on a Summer Intern role at Adler Planetarium, where they helped to create an archive of all physical materials in the Adler Planetarium’s Webster Library and handled rare and fragile documents while cataloging the Roderick and Marjorie Webster Papers. In 2014, they became a Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator at Northview Public Schools. In 2020, Christina was hired as a Librarian at Compass College of Cinematic Arts. Most recently, in 2021, they took on a Library Technology Specialist role at National Heritage Academies. In 2022, they will become a Customer Success Agent at ClassDojo.

Christina Burgess, MLS obtained their Master's degree in Library Science from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Communication and Media Studies from Hope College in 2010. Additionally, they hold a Librarian's Professional Certification from the Library of Michigan.
