Paul Zavalza has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Paul started their career as a Software Development Intern at Volkswagen AG, where they worked on testing motor controller functions and developed Java solutions for process automation.

After that, they joined INNKU as a Web Developer Jr., where they implemented the first mobile app for DisculpeDoctor.com and received training in unit testing and functional programming.

Later, Paul co-founded DisculpeDoctor.com, a telemedicine platform for remote consultations, where they managed the platform and raised seed funding from angel investors.

Paul then moved on to Resuelve.mx, where they initially worked as a Lead Developer, collaborating on different features for the lending platform. Paul also worked as a Product Manager, overseeing the development and launch of an internal system to calculate credit amortizations and debt status.

Currently, Paul is working at Nubank as an Engineering Manager. Paul manages a team of 15+ engineers, focusing on customer acquisition and growth. One of the main products they worked on was a credit card without fees, which acquired over 3 million Mexican customers in two years. Paul also coordinated cross-functional and cross-country projects.

In a previous role at Nubank, Paul served as a Tech Manager, participating in software engineering interviews and scaling the headcount from 5 to 20 people. During this time, the company acquired over 1 million customers in Mexico without any significant incidents.

Paul Zavalza received a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Systems and Robotics from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2014. In 2012, they participated in an Academic Exchange Program (DAAD) at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, where they focused on Information Technology. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Introduction to Psychology from Coursera in December 2018 and Understanding Anxiety, Depression, and CBT from FutureLearn in December 2018.
