Classic Harbor Line
Cait Field is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management, education, and research within both the maritime and academic sectors. Since April 2007, Cait has served as General Manager and Captain for Classic Harbor Line, holding a 200-ton USCG license for operating commercial vessels in New York Harbor. Concurrently, since January 2020, Cait has been the Operations Manager and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUNY School of Professional Studies, teaching courses in Psychology. Notable past roles include Freshkills Park Manager for Science and Research Development with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, where Cait coordinated scientific research projects, and a Graduate Researcher at The Graduate Center, CUNY with a Ph.D. in Biopsychology & Behavioral Neuroscience. Cait's academic qualifications also include a Master’s Degree in the same field and a BA in Neuroscience & Behavior from Vassar College.
