Jessica Mesmer Magnus is an accomplished academic and practitioner with extensive experience in management, human resources, and research. Currently serving as Senior Faculty Contributor and Facilitator at the Swain Center for Executive Education since January 2017, Jessica also holds the position of Professor and Chair of the Department of Management at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where tenure spans from 2005 to present. Additional roles include Senior Faculty Investigator at the US Army Research Institute Consortium of Universities and a Support Representative for Classical Conversations. Jessica's research credentials are highlighted by the role of Co-Principal Investigator for a NASA-funded project focused on team cognition and task management, emphasizing a strong commitment to innovative education and applied psychology. Academic qualifications comprise a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Florida International University, an MS in Applied Psychology from Christopher Newport University, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Florida, supplemented by certifications in human resources and mindfulness, SEL, and yoga.
