Kristof Verpoorten

Kristof Verpoorten has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kristof started their career in 2006 as a Diagnostic Specialist at BMW Jorssen Motorsport. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Private Tutor, providing coaching in mathematics, mechanics, car technology, and automotive subjects. In 2008, they joined Orion Engineering B.V. and ALTEN BELGIUM as an Automotive Consultant.

In 2011, Verpoorten became the General Manager at Punch Powertrain Malaysia, responsible for after-sales and service, customer care, R&D support, new project support, quality management, and APQP for the Malaysian and Taiwan markets. Kristof also took on the role of Manager Sales department Europe at Punch Powertrain from 2014 to 2019, where they successfully contracted a major European OEM for the largest automatic transmission tender worldwide. Additionally, Verpoorten was involved in building the first hybrid and electric cars at Punch Powertrain, handling tasks such as designing, sourcing, and producing electrical interfaces.

Verpoorten served as the Managing Partner at Group Nulens & Verpoorten from 2015 to 2018. Kristof then joined Advancing technologies B.V. as a Sales & Supply Chain Director from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they are working at Classified Cycling since 2019. Kristof began as a Commercial Director and then became the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) before assuming their current role as the Director of Strategic Partnerships.

Kristof Verpoorten began their education in 1998 at Provil, where they earned a diploma in industrial sciences in 2002. Kristof then attended Karel de Grote-Hogeschool from 2002 to 2008 and received cumulative degrees in automotive, elektromechanics, and mechanics, graduating with the highest honor of summa cum laude. In 2015, Kristof obtained a certificate in internal auditing from Allanta. Additionally, they pursued studies in real estate at UC Leuven-Limburg from 2015 to 2016. Kristof has also obtained a certification in IATF 16949:2016 auditing from Allanta vzw, although the specific date of certification is not provided.
