Alessandro Picarelli

Alessandro Picarelli has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Their most recent role was as the Engineering Director at Claytex, where they were responsible for customer projects and requirements, as well as guiding the application of expertise and tools in industries such as off highway machinery and buildings thermal management. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Engineer and Engineering Project Manager at Claytex, where they managed internal and external engineering projects and promoted company activities at engineering shows and conferences. Alessandro also worked as a Project Engineer at Claytex, where they focused on modelling and simulation of dynamic systems using Dymola and Modelica, as well as engine and transmission model and library development.

Before joining Claytex, Alessandro owned their own business called Alessandro Picarelli Engineering, where they focused on engine building and restoration for classic and modern Maserati, Ferrari, and Alfa Romeo vehicles. Alessandro also worked at WMG, Inc as a Project Engineer, specializing in systems engineering and simulation of hybrid vehicles. Additionally, they worked as a Powertrain strategist at Jaguar Land Rover and as an Engine builder at Motor A.G.

Alessandro Picarelli began their education at St Georges in 1985 and completed their studies there in 1997. Alessandro then enrolled at the University of Warwick in 1997 and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2000. Alessandro continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering in 2001.
