Nawanna Patterson is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in leadership and administration. Currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Clayton County Library System since April 2023, Nawanna has also been self-employed as a broker since June 2021. In addition to these roles, Nawanna has extensive experience at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a grants writer and with the State of Georgia as a legal administrative assistant. Previous positions include owner of Purple Chocolate Events since October 2001, CEO of Nawley Lottery (DickeyLavee) from May 1993 to June 2023, and juvenile probation officer at the Department of Juvenile Justice from August 2014 to June 2017. Educational credentials include an MBA from Georgia State University, a master’s degree in cosmetology from Southeastern School of Cosmetology, and an associate's degree in criminal justice from Atlanta Technical College.
