Joycelyn Smith

Joycelyn Smith is an experienced educator and school counselor, currently serving as a School Counselor for Clayton County Public Schools since August 2019 and Avant Garde Academy Kissimmee since July 2017. Additionally, Joycelyn has held the position of Music Teacher at Duval County Public Schools since July 2016 and previously worked as a School Counselor at KIPP Voice from July 2014 to June 2016, where responsibilities included individual and group counseling and organizing career day events. Joycelyn's teaching background includes music instruction at E.L. Miller Elementary and Laurel Woods Elementary, covering grades K-5, as well as general music classes for grades 6-8 at Harford County Public Schools. Joycelyn obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music from Hampton University and a Master's degree in School Counseling, followed by a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University.
