Meryl Gunter

Meryl Gunter has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. Meryl has experience in grant management and writing, board development, mission and vision creation, and strategic planning. In their current role as Director of Development at Clayton Youth Enrichment, they oversee all fundraising initiatives and works to ensure that the organization's programs are well-funded. Prior to their work at Clayton Youth Enrichment, Ms. Gunter served as a Manager of Government Grants at Big Thought, a Project Development Specialist at Fort Worth ISD, and a Consultant at the Unitarian Universalist Association. In addition to their work in the nonprofit sector, Ms. Gunter has also worked as an independent consultant, helping local organizations attain and maintain 501c3 status, understand the grant process, and write successful grant proposals. Meryl Gunter's educational career includes a BFA in Theatre & English from Southern Methodist University, an MA in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Leadership Coaching Certification from Rice University - Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
