Sofia Mongeon

Sofia Mongeon has extensive experience in sustainability and renewable energy, currently serving as a Beyond the Megawatt Associate at the Clean Energy Buyers Association since March 2019, where Sofia has also held roles as Senior Program Coordinator, Education & Engagement and Program Coordinator. Prior experience includes a position as Corporate Renewables Intern at the World Wildlife Fund, where Sofia developed a comprehensive database on energy usage for companies committed to renewable energy in the U.S. Additionally, Sofia served as a Student Sustainability Educator at American University's Office of Sustainability and volunteered in marketing and communications for Save The Bay. Early internship experiences at the office of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse involved research and constituent engagement, while earlier volunteer work with Plan International and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island showcased Sofia's organizational abilities and commitment to environmental advocacy. Sofia holds a degree from American University and is a graduate of Providence Country Day School.
