Arron Wood AM serves as the Chief Policy and Impact Officer at the Clean Energy Council since February 2022, overseeing renewable energy advocacy and policy in Australia. With a background in environmental leadership, Arron has held various significant roles, including National Director of External Affairs at the same organization and Board Member at South East Water. As the Owner of Firestarter Pty Ltd, Arron runs the national environmental education initiative 'Kids Teaching Kids'. Arron has over two decades of experience as a keynote speaker and emcee on sustainability topics and previously served as Deputy Lord Mayor and Councillor for the City of Melbourne. Arron’s commitment to sustainability is further evidenced by participation on boards, including the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute and Sustainability Victoria, as well as a former role as Chief Industry Engagement and Education Delivery Officer at Bendigo Kangan Institute. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Forest Science, Hydrology from the University of Melbourne.
