Frank Yenchick

Director Of RNG Operations at Clean Energy

Frank Yenchick has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Frank started their career in 1990 as a Process Engineer at Monsanto Chemical, where they managed capital projects and improved department throughputs. Frank then worked as a Sr. Chemical Manufacturing Engineer at Solutia for eight years, specializing in thin-film polymer extrusion and overseeing process optimization and cost reduction. Frank later joined Solutia, Inc. as an Extrusion Production Manager, supervising a team and managing day-to-day operations in a chemical processing plant.

In 2009, Frank transitioned to the role of Sr. Pipeline Operations Engineer at Sunoco Logistics, LP, where they managed maintenance and operations of high-hazard LPG pipelines and storage terminals. Frank also served as the PSM Program Manager for a large liquified petroleum gas storage facility.

Frank joined Clean Energy Fuels Corp in 2011 as a Plant Manager, overseeing the construction of a $20MM greenfield project and successfully producing pipeline-quality Biomethane from landfill gas ahead of schedule. Frank then moved to Aria Energy in 2017, where they worked as the Regional Manager for Eastern RNG.

Currently, Frank serves as the Director of RNG Operations at Clean Energy since 2022. In this role, they are responsible for the oversight, construction, and commissioning of seven dairy digester RNG plants. Frank has improved plant uptime for a new process from 29% to 90% in just three months. Frank has also managed staffing, commissioning, startup, and development of safety programs at all sites.

Frank Yenchick completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Wayne State University from 1986 to 1990.
