Piet Powell

Piet Powell is an experienced professional in compliance and legal management, currently serving as General Manager - Compliance at the Clean Energy Regulator since June 2019. Previously, Piet held various leadership roles at the Australian Building and Construction Commission, including Regional Manager Northern and Manager Government Code Compliance (Ag), where responsibilities included overseeing multi-disciplinary teams focused on workplace law compliance within the building and construction industry. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Of Staff at Fair Work Building and Construction and Senior Adviser at the Australian Communications and Media Authority. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Laws from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania.
