Chief Operating Officer at Clean Hands – Safe Hands

Jessie Buckelew's work experience begins in 2009 as an Undergraduate Research Associate at The Matrix Biology and Engineering Laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology. During this time, they earned a President's Undergraduate Research Award and studied integrin-specific interactions with extracellular matrix (ECM) and their effects on epithelial to mesenchymal transition, resulting in publications.

In 2011, Buckelew worked as a Capstone Project Design Engineer at Emory University Hospital. They then joined Aderans Research Institute as a Research Associate, where they performed research on cell-based hair regeneration, including retroviral infection and identification of adult stem cell-like populations.

From 2012 to 2015, Buckelew worked at Zimmer Biomet as a Sales Associate. They cultivated relationships with surgeons and staff, received the Zimmer Impact Award twice for expertise in operations management, and won the President's Club award in 2014.

In 2016, Buckelew took a sabbatical to explore Parisian culture, studying French cuisine, artwork, architecture, and the language. They documented their experiences on a blog.

Also in 2016, Buckelew briefly worked as a College of Business Development Coordinator at Colorado State University.

Most recently, Buckelew has been with Clean Hands – Safe Hands, starting as an Implementation Engineer Manager in 2017. They progressed to roles such as Director of Operations, VP of Operations and Partner Success, and currently serve as the Chief Operating Officer since July 2021.

Jessie Buckelew obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, starting in 2007 and completing their studies in 2012.
