Phil Gruenhagen has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Phil started their career at Time Arts, Inc., where they worked as a Software Engineer and successfully ported a graphics software application from DOS to Macintosh. Phil also developed one of the first natural-media paint programs on the Macintosh.

Phil then moved on to Software Publishing Corporation, where they worked as a Software Engineer and developed a cross-platform GUI layer for the flagship presentation software, Harvard Graphics. Phil used C on both Macintosh and Windows platforms to achieve better platform independence.

After that, Phil joined Taligent and worked as a Developer Technical Support Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing sample applications in C++, specializing in audio frameworks, and assisting third-party developers in resolving development issues related to Taligent's object-oriented frameworks.

Next, they joined Microsoft Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the Macintosh version of Internet Explorer. Phil utilized C/C++ and the PowerPlant application framework for code development.

Phil later joined Intertrust Technologies, initially serving as a Lead Developer Technical Support Engineer. In this role, they provided technical leadership and training for a small team of engineers, wrote sample applications in C/C++, and helped build and deploy a web-based case/defect tracking system. Phil then worked as a Technical Support Manager, followed by a role as a Senior Applications Developer, where they developed web-based applications software and databases using ColdFusion and MS SQL Server. Phil also administered IIS and Apache web servers.

Prior to their current role, Phil owned Exhibit G, where they designed and developed database-backed web-based applications using C#, PHP, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and MySQL. Phil was responsible for database and web server set-up and administration for Apache and IIS.

Currently, Phil Gruenhagen is working at Clean Power Research as a Consulting Engineer, where they apply their expertise and experience in software development.

From 1984 to 1989, Phil Gruenhagen attended Sonoma State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Applications with a concentration in music.
