Joe Meiltoft

Joe Meiltoft is the Director of Construction for Borrego Solar’s Midwest operations based out of our Chicago, IL office. In this role, he is responsible for developing new partnerships with contractors throughout the Midwest to support our growth in the region. Joe’s responsibilities also include providing oversight to our regional construction efforts to shepherd the region’s projects successfully through design, permitting, procurement, and construction phases until it’s complete, interconnected with the local utility and given permission to operate. Prior to joining Borrego Solar as a construction manager for our 7.9 MW single-axis tracker installation at Sacramento International Airport, he completed his first solar project for the Nevada National Guard at three different facilities in 2008. With a background in heavy civil construction since 2002, he was involved in the management of multiple contract structures to design and build utility, infrastructure, and aviation projects for local, state, and federal agencies. Joe has a Bachelor of science in business from the University of Nevada, Reno and holds a contractor license in Oregon.
