Andreia Carreiro has a diverse background in the energy and innovation sectors. Andreia currently holds the role of Innovation Strategy Director at Cleanwatts, where they are responsible for driving innovative strategies. Prior to this, they served as the Strategic Projects, Innovation & Energy Policy Advisor at Cleanwatts. In addition, Andreia is the CEO & Co-Founder of KINERGY - Speed Up Energy Transition, a company focused on advancing energy transition. Andreia also serves as an Advisory Board Member at RES4CITY. Andreia is an active member of Future Energy Leaders Portugal and POWERPOOR_EU. Previously, they worked as an Advisor to the Deputy Minister and Secretary of State for Energy at República Portuguesa - XXII Governo. Andreia also has experience as a Member of the Advisory Council at ERSE- Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos and as the Regional Director for Energy at XII Azorean Government. Andreia served as the President of the General Assembly at EDA,SA, and worked as a PMO (Project Management Office) at CEiiA // Centre of Engineering and Product Development, where they were involved in project, product, and service development for the mobility industry.
Andreia Carreiro has a strong education background in various fields. Andreia obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Universidade de Coimbra in 2009. In 2011, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Energy for Sustainability through the MIT Portugal Program at the same university. Andreia completed this program in 2011. Following that, they continued their studies at MIT Portugal and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Sustainable Energy Systems in 2018.
In 2010, Andreia attended an Intensive Academic English Program at Village English in Ontario, Canada, focusing on English Language and Literature. This program lasted for a year. Andreia later pursued a postgraduate degree, an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General, at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa in 2021.
Furthermore, in 2014, Andreia Carreiro obtained a certification as a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional from the Association of Energy Engineers.
