She has led the clinical effort for 15 INDs and managed multiple clinical trials from first-in-human to large, multicenter, global Phase 3b studies.
Barbara founded Expedite Research, a pharmaceutical and medical device consulting company in 2013. Prior to Expedite Research, Barbara was Vice President, Clinical Development of Cytokine PharmaSciences, a privately held, global biopharmaceutical company developing controlled-release drug delivery products in women’s health and small molecule therapeutics in the areas of autoimmune diseases, anti-inflammation, and cancer. While at Cytokine, Barbara led the clinical effort for phase 1, 2, and 3 studies resulting in a global submission for a labor induction product approved in 54 countries. Barbara also led the clinical team at Neuron Therapeutics, a start-up company focused on developing a novel drug/device combination product for treating ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage. Barbara worked for Rhône-Poulenc Rorer (now Sanofi Aventis) for 14 years where she was instrumental in establishing the Clinical Operations group as Associate Director of Clinical Operations and Worldwide Resource Allocation, managing a team of 130 CRAs in 10 countries.
Barbara’s clinical experience of 10 years working in Labor & Delivery taught her how to prioritize and stay calm in a crisis.
