Rebecca Garland

Rebecca Garland has over two decades of experience in education and writing. Currently serving as the English IV PLC Lead and English Department Head at Clear Creek Independent School District since 2009, Rebecca has led curriculum development for English programs and achieved significant college readiness outcomes. Prior roles include teaching Language Arts, Math, and Science at Deer Park ISD, and providing specialized ESL instruction. Additionally, Rebecca manages a freelance writing business with a focus on technical writing and content creation since 2005. Previous experiences include positions as a Power Accountant at Duke Energy and a Business Process Risk Consultant at Arthur Andersen, coupled with advanced degrees in School Library and Information Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a BBA in Engineering Route to Business from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
