Steve Hickman

Steve Hickman is the VP of Engineering at Clear Measure. Steve has been with the company for 6 years and 9 months, and has held various positions including Chief Executive Officer, VP of Engineering, and Engineering Manager. Their responsibilities include attracting, retaining, and growing a premiere workforce, as well as coaching and mentoring engineers. Steve also scouts potential engineers to join the company.

Before joining Clear Measure, Steve was with Fort Bend ISD for 3 years, where they held positions including Manager of Business Services and Manager of Special Projects. Their responsibilities included managing all district E-Rate initiatives, IT contracts and vendor relationships, and technology asset processes. Steve also oversaw high profile projects in the technology department, such as the Windows 7 upgrade of 25,000+ computers and the hardware replacement and software upgrade of the Child Nutrition department’s Point of Sale machines at 73 locations.

Steve then became the Director of Technology at Lamar CISD. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all district technology operations including hardware/software maintenance, network management, strategic planning, systems implementation, systems training, and E-Rate processing. Steve also managed a staff in Information Services, Network Services, Technical Services, and Technology Staff Development. Other responsibilities included developing and maintaining the district’s strategic Technology Plan, annual operational budgets, and three bond budgets for technology. Steve was also responsible for reducing operational costs and increasing staff efficiency through the use of technology.

During their 12 years at Lamar CISD, Steve helped implement large scale enterprise systems including a VOIP phone system, wireless system, video surveillance system, storage area network (SAN), virtualized server consolidation, email, videoconference system, network video distribution system, student information system, finance system and instructional management system. Steve also supported the construction of two high schools, two junior high schools, one middle school, five elementary schools and the renovation of 22 campuses.

Steve Hickman works with a small team of engineers, including Troy Vinson, Tony Fauss, Vladimir Serafimov, and Eric Williams. These engineers report to Steve Hickman.
