Dimitrios Zikos is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University since August 2024 and as an Assistant Professor in the Health Administration Program at Central Michigan University since July 2016. Zikos has previously contributed as a Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas at Arlington and as a Research Assistant Professor in the Heracleia Human-Centered Computing Laboratory, focusing on medical imaging and bioinformatics. Zikos holds a PhD in Health Informatics and has extensive teaching experience, including roles as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Athens and a Visiting Lecturer at Cyprus University of Technology. Additionally, Zikos has been involved in multiple EU-funded research initiatives related to health informatics and patient safety. Early career experience includes working as a Clinical Registered Nurse at Bioclinic of Piraeus.
