Anti-money Laundering Compliance Associate at Clear Street

Matthew Baldwin has had a diverse range of work experiences. Matthew started their career as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston College High School, where they worked with high school athletes and developed demanding training regimens. Matthew then moved on to work as a Government Affairs Intern at The Novus Group, where they assisted lobbyists and political consultants with policy research and campaign finance compliance. Matthew also worked as a Certified Personal Trainer at Boston College Campus Recreation, where they created and implemented personalized fitness programs for clients.

In 2018, Matthew joined Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs as a Group Fitness Instructor, where they led classes and ensured safety and proper form for up to 20 participants. Matthew also worked as an Assistant and later as an Investigator at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, specializing in Medicaid fraud investigations and collaborating with state and federal agencies to build cases. During this time, they managed critical data and schedules, as well as filed reports for certification renewal.

Matthew's experience in combating financial crime continued at Citi, where they worked as an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst, focusing on researching and analyzing potential money laundering activity by institutional clients. Matthew then joined Clear Street as an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Analyst, contributing to the development and implementation of the company's AML Program and policies.

Outside of their financial crime and fitness-related roles, Matthew also worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at Lynx Fitness Club, leading circuit-based workouts and creating challenging and safe class experiences. Overall, Matthew's work experience showcases their expertise in fitness instruction, investigative work, and anti-money laundering compliance.

Matthew Baldwin attended Boston College from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government. Prior to that, they completed their high school education and received a diploma from Boston College High School between 2010 and 2014. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Matthew also obtained certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in February 2020 and as a Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in December 2015.
