Hemam Muthyala

Hemam Muthyala has an extensive work experience in the field of security and engineering. Hemam is currently the Global Head of Security at SPAN and a member of the CxO Council at Clear Ventures. Prior to these roles, Hemam served as the Head of Security Products at Samsara, where they significantly expanded the team and developed a risk-based approach to enhance security. Hemam also held the position of VP Engineering, Security & IT | CIO at a Stealth Startup. Earlier in their career, they worked at Workday as the Director of Engineering, Security - IAM and Cloud Services, at Oracle as a Sr. Engineering Manager in the Data Platform division, and at VMware as a Sr. Engineering Manager and a Staff/Lead Engineer in the R&D department. Hemam has also worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Decisiv, a Software Engineer at Metallect, and as a Research Assistant at UT Dallas.

Hemam Muthyala completed a B.Tech degree in an unspecified field of study from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, between 1997 and 2001. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, Hemam pursued an MS degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas. Later, from 2011 to 2013, Hemam attended Stanford University for a Graduate program in Management Science and Engineering.
