Udo Mahlmeister

Udo Mahlmeister is a Director of Applied Research at CLEAR, where responsibilities include leading biometrics research and evaluating biometric performance. Prior experience includes roles as a Biometric Research Consultant, where Udo focused on face-based identity verification systems, and as Director of Biometrics R&T at Thales Digital Identity and Security, overseeing a diverse team and driving algorithm innovation. Udo has also contributed as a biometrics expert to ISO standards and held senior research positions at IDEMIA North America and several other biometric technology firms. Educational qualifications include a PhD (All but thesis) in Computer Science from Kiel University, coursework in Computer Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and an MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
