Marcela Vera

Marcela Vera currently serves as the Manager of Carbon Project Development at ClearBlue Markets, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this, Marcela Vera worked at ECOTIERRA from December 2016 to November 2024 as an NbS and Climate Finance Expert and Forest and Carbon Markets Specialist, where responsibilities included designing GHG emission reduction projects in the forestry sector and planning forest inventories. Earlier experience includes a Technical Intern role at MGM Innova Group and a Project Engineer position focused on the technical development of greenhouse gas reduction projects. Marcela Vera also worked as a Consultant for the Forestry Consulting Group and served as a Project Assistant for USAID. Educational qualifications consist of an M.Sc. in Environment and Sustainable Development from Université de Montréal and a degree in Forestry Engineering with a specialization in Project Management from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
