Nicolas Girod

Nicolas Girod has extensive work experience in the field of commodities trading and markets. Nicolas served as the Chief Technology Officer at ClearBlue Markets from 2016. Nicolas also worked as a Markets professional at IFCHOR ClearBlue Oceans starting from 2021. Prior to these roles, they were an Energy Broker at Evolution Markets Inc. from January to June 2016. From 2012 to 2015, they held the position of Senior Emissions Trader at Vattenfall. Before that, they worked as a Cross Commodities Analyst/Trader at Eneco from 2008 to 2012. Nicolas also served as a Commodities Risk Analyst at Barclays Investment Bank from 2007 to 2008 and as a Commodities Desk Trader Assistant at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from 2005 to 2006.

Nicolas Girod obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical and Environmental Engineering from ESME, which they attended from 2001 to 2007. Later, in 2015, they completed a Data Science - Machine Learning program at the NYC Data Science Academy. In addition to their education, they have obtained certifications in the Series 3 from the National Futures Association in 2016 and as an Exchange Trader from the European Energy Exchange AG in 2012.
