Ajay Dayal has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Ajay currently serves as the Director, Client Portfolio Manager at ClearBridge Investments since October 2021. Prior to their current role, Ajay worked at Franklin Templeton as the Director, Global Product Management from October 2020 to October 2021. Ajay also served at Legg Mason (Acquired by Franklin Templeton) for over a decade, starting as a Senior Investment Director from June 2008 to October 2020 and later becoming a Managing Director from 2017 to October 2021. Ajay has also held positions at ABN AMRO Asset Management as a Director, Global Product Specialist - Emerging Markets Equities from October 2006 to May 2008, M&G Investments as a Manager - Strategic Product Analysis from February 2004 to October 2006, and Baring Asset Management as a Product Specialist - Asia ex Japan Equities from 1999 to 2003.
Ajay Dayal has a comprehensive education history. Ajay obtained their CFA charterholder certification from the CFA Institute (previously AIMR) in 2003. Prior to that, they completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from UK SIP in 2000. Ajay pursued their undergraduate education at Durham University from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a BA (Hons) degree in Economics. Additionally, they completed their A Levels from Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn, between 1992 and 1994.
