Brian S. Schrand has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Brian started their career in 1987 as a Telecommunications Specialist at the City of Cincinnati, where they oversaw the installation and troubleshooting of fiber optic and copper networks. In 1995, they joined Cincinnati Bell, where they held various roles including Cable Splicer, System's Tech, Supervisor of Network Engineering & Construction, and Supervisor of Residence, Business & CLEC Installation. During their time at Cincinnati Bell, they were responsible for network integration, installation, and maintenance, as well as developing new processes and procedures. In 2010, they joined Clearfield as the Technical Support Manager - Application Engineering, and later became the Vice President of Application and Field Engineering. In these roles, they provided leadership in application engineering and field support.

From 1982 to 1984, Brian S. Schrand attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where they studied airport management. It is not specified whether they obtained a degree during this time.
