Katherine Kennedy is a highly experienced legal professional with extensive expertise in the FinTech and payments sectors. Currently serving as a Consultant Lawyer and Fractional General Counsel at Clearlake Law since January 2024, Katherine provides affordable legal advice while embedding legal counsel within businesses. Previously, as General Counsel at Pay. from January 2023 to January 2024, responsibilities included leading M&A efforts, managing regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and negotiating commercial agreements. Katherine's earlier roles include General Counsel at SETL, where involvement focused on blockchain technology for payments and settlements, and various legal positions at Talking Fox, OPEN BANKING, VocaLink, Daiwa Securities, and Slaughter and May, consistently handling complex legal and regulatory issues. Katherine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford.
