Ian Nelson

Ian Nelson is a seasoned Principal Engineer at Spyderbat since July 2020 and has been an Advisor at ClearNet Security since January 2004, contributing to security and software development for direct clients and partner companies. With a robust background in software engineering, Ian has held significant roles at various companies including Randori as a Software Engineer, Alert Logic as a Principal Software Engineer, and Click Security as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on analytics platforms and backend services. Previous experience also includes positions at LogRhythm, Envysion, TippingPoint, Rovingplanet, and Latis/Stillsecure, where Ian specialized in network access control (NAC) software and other security solutions. Ian holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Math from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained in December 1998.
