Philip Graf has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Philip started their career as a Research Assistant at Missouri S&T in 2007. Philip then worked as an Engineering and Surveying Intern at Baer Engineering and Land Surveying, where they gained experience in designing street layouts and water drainage systems. In 2008, they interned at Invensys Controls, where they improved a gas valve calibration station and designed a gas valve leak detector.

From 2009 to 2011, Philip served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In this role, they co-led the redesigning of an electrohydrodynamic jet (e-jet) printing system and advanced its usability through the design and testing of a method for printing onto dielectric and insulated substrates.
