Andrew Alexander

Andrew Alexander has over 20 years of experience in information technology. Andrew is currently serving as the Senior Director of IT at Clearside Biomedical since May 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at Alimera Sciences from March 2015 to May 2018, where they were responsible for managing IT projects and infrastructure. From 2006 to 2015, they held the position of Information Technology Manager at Alimera Sciences and was involved in various tasks such as setting budgets, researching new investments, and creating SOPs and policies to comply with regulations. Before joining Alimera Sciences, they worked at VieAble as a Project Manager, where they successfully developed a mortgage industry software application. Andrew also worked at AAA MORTGAGE AND FINANCE as an Information Technology Specialist, managing the IT department and developing a mortgage industry application. In the earlier years of their career, they worked as an Information Technology Specialist at Cost Management Group, Inc., where they provided consultation and implemented solutions for various companies.

Andrew Alexander earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In addition, they obtained certifications from Microsoft in Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration and Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration.
