Jiuyu Zhang

Jiuyu Zhang is an Associate Software Engineer at Clearwater Analytics, contributing to the Beacon Cloud Engineering team since September 2025. Concurrently, Jiuyu serves as a researcher at the UCL AI Centre, focusing on AI in Education under the supervision of Prof Ivana Drobnjak. Previous roles include Resident Advisor at the University of London, where community-building and conflict mediation were key responsibilities, and Senior Programming Tutor at UCL Computer Science, leading a team of tutors for first-year undergraduates. As President of the UCL Technology Society, Jiuyu directed the significant HackLondon2025 event, nurturing participant engagement and mentoring fellow members. Additional experience includes a Platform Engineer Intern role at Beacon Platform, achieving impactful projects, and participation in Jane Street's Electronic Trading Challenge, ranking first. Jiuyu holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UCL.
