Jon Stone, MPA, CRISC, HCISPP, PMP

Jon Stone has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Jon started their career at CIGNA Healthcare as the Director of Healthcare Quality Measurement, where they managed HEDIS reporting for over 50 CIGNA health plans. Jon also successfully integrated information systems for HEDIS reporting.

Later, Jon joined Healthways as the Director of Product Management, where they created and managed a disease management product and developed an oncology disease management program. Jon also established a Project Management Office for the product development department and implemented cost benefit analysis to prioritize and fund product investments. In their role as the Sr Director of Portfolio and Project Management, they created an IT Project Management Office and managed a Quality Assurance department.

Jon then founded their own consultancy, Brookside Program Management, where they provided leadership, consulting, and product development services to healthcare and health information technology companies. Jon rescued a failing healthcare EDI product development effort for Ingenix.

Most recently, Jon worked as the Chief Product Officer at Clearwater, where they led the idea generation, implementation, and management of software-as-a-service and compliance and security products. Jon designed and launched a B2B SaaS platform that resulted in recurring revenue subscription purchases for healthcare organizations.

Jon Stone has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Healthcare Policy and Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Education at Lee University from 1980 to 1984.

In addition to their formal education, Jon Stone has also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they became Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) through ISACA. During the same year, they also obtained the HCISPP certification from ISC2. In 2003, Jon Stone obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Prior to that, in 2002, they completed a certification in Project Management for Information Systems from the University of Colorado at Denver.
