Omar Chukri Fakhoury MD, MSc, currently serves as the Program Director of the Ophthalmology Department and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center since 2016. Additionally, Omar Fakhoury has been practicing as an ophthalmologist at Clemenceau Medical Center, Advanced Eye Care, and BELLE-VUE MEDICAL CENTER since 2016, 2015, and 2017 respectively. Omar Fakhoury completed a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship at APHM from 2012 to 2015 and held a residency in ophthalmology at Hôtel-Dieu de France from 2008 to 2012. Research contributions include a focus on biomolecular analysis of amniotic membrane extracts during a fellowship at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, where Omar Fakhoury obtained several degrees, culminating in a Doctor of Medicine in 2007. Further education includes postdoctoral training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, diplomas in Medical Retina, and a Master's degree in Biological and Biomedical sciences.
