Bart A. Swecker

Bart A. Swecker, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of institutional analytics and data science. Starting in 2006, they held various roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, including Director of Research & Analysis, Senior Manager for Advanced Analytics and Modeling, and Senior Institutional Research Analyst. Bart A. was responsible for implementing predictive analytics and modeling, developing efficient data solutions, and coordinating institutional reporting. In 2018, they joined Clemson University as Director of Academic Data Analytics, and later became the Director of Data Science and Analytics - Information Technology. Currently, Dr. Swecker serves as the Director of Institutional Analytics at Clemson University.

Bart A. Swecker, Ph.D. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forestry from Clemson University. Bart A. also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Florida State University. Bart completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Music. In addition to their academic degrees, Bart holds various certifications, including a FAA License Part 107 from the U.S. Department of Transportation and a Master Tree Farmer certification from Clemson University. Bart A. has also completed several certifications in data analysis and visualization through Skillsoft and Tableau Software.
