Benjamin Wiles

Benjamin Wiles has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Benjamin currently holds the position of Chief Student Success & Empowerment Officer at Clemson University since November 2023. Prior to this role, they served as Chief Data Officer at the same university from November 2017 to November 2023. Additionally, they have been an adjunct faculty and affiliated faculty at Purdue University since August 2020. In 2018, they worked as an Educational Consultant. In 2020, Wiles also volunteered as a Computer Science Teacher for the TEALS Program. Before their tenure in academia, Wiles held roles at Purdue University, including Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assistant Head of the Department of Mathematics. Benjamin also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University and held positions at Kansas State University, Delphi Technologies, and General Motors, gaining experience in mathematical research, software engineering, and simulation development.

Benjamin Wiles holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology from Purdue University. Benjamin also has a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Special Education from the same institution. Furthermore, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics Education from Purdue University. Apart from their academic degrees, Benjamin has attained several additional certifications, including Community Group Leaders 2021 from EDUCAUSE, Certified Higher Education Peer Reviewer from QM Quality Matters, Applying the QM Rubric from QM Quality Matters, Six Sigma Green Belt from Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), and Applied Management Principles from Purdue University Krannert School of Management.
