Dianne Dunning has a range of work experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Dianne most recently held the position of Associate Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Clemson University. Prior to that, they served as a Special Assistant to the Dean at Washington State University. From 2015 to 2023, they were the Associate Dean of Advancement at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dianne also held various roles at North Carolina State University, including Associate Dean of Advancement, Professor of Clinical Sciences, and Assistant Dean of College Relations. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Louisiana State University.
Dianne Dunning earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in German Language and Literature from New York University in 1988. Dianne then pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University, which they completed in 1993. In 1997, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Sciences from Colorado State University. Lastly, in 2011, they graduated from UNC Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health with a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree, specializing in Health Leadership.
