Elizabeth Schlesener

BMW Innovation Fellow at Clemson University

Elizabeth (Alex) Schlesener is currently serving as a BMW Innovation Fellow at Clemson University, a position funded by the BMW Innovation Fellowship. Previously, Alex held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant supported by the National Science Foundation and Prisma Health, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Computing at Clemson University. Additionally, Alex is the Lead 3D Designer at Drops, an Augmented Reality and Metaverse Marketing platform, responsible for modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating 3D designs. Alex's experience extends to a Texturing/Modeling Artist at Abduct Studios, where skills in ZBrush were utilized, and participation in a SCICU-funded project to create an online ASL-to-English dictionary. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Centered Computing, a Master of Fine Arts in Animation and Interactive Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
