Jesus M. de la Garza, PhD, Dist.M.ASCE, F.CMAA, NAC, currently serves as a Professor and Director of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at Clemson University since August 2019, having previously held the position of Vecellio Professor at Virginia Tech from August 1988 to August 2019. Jesus M. de la Garza completed a PhD in Civil Engineering--Construction and an MS in Civil Engineering--Construction at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where study occurred from 1984 to 1988 and 1982 to 1984, respectively. Undergraduate studies culminated in a BS in Civil Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) from 1974 to 1978.
