Sean Brittain serves as the Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Learning at Clemson University, where responsibilities include leading teams focused on the academic success of undergraduate students. In addition, Sean is a Professor of Physics & Astronomy, teaching a wide range of courses from general education to advanced astrophysics, with research interests in star and planet formation. Previously, Sean held the position of Chair of the Physics & Astronomy department, overseeing curriculum, faculty workload, and departmental research. Prior experience includes working as a Michelson Fellow at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory. Sean earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in Chemical Physics from LeTourneau University.
