Scott Tsurutani

Scott Tsurutani has over 20 years of experience in clinical operations and management. Scott is currently the Director of Clinical Operations at Clene Nanomedicine. Prior to this, they worked as a Clinical Operations Consultant at Cytokinetics, Inc., where they led a clinical program for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Scott also served as an Associate Director at Johnson & Johnson, leading clinical programs in various therapeutic areas. Scott has also held positions at Actelion Pharmaceuticals, OXiGENE, Inc., Anesiva, and InterMune, where they gained experience in clinical operations and research.

Scott Tsurutani obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physiology and Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from UC San Diego from 1990 to 1996. Scott also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience from UC San Diego during the same time period. In addition, Scott has obtained certifications in GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Biologics (ICH Focus) Course and HIPAA for Education and Research from the CITI Program in September 2023.
