Richard Watkins

Richard is the UAE Country Head of the Clermont Group. With 17 years of experience in the management of proprietary capital and private offices, Richard has managed investment offices in the United States, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

Richard began his career as an analyst and trading assistant in the United States, later moving to Singapore to launch a proprietary trading company and trading member of the Singapore Exchange. In 2010, he moved to the United Arab Emirates to establish a Single Family Office with a focus on capital markets and distressed real estate assets. Since 2016, Richard has served as the Head of Clermont Group’s Dubai office.

Richard holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University with a double major in Finance and International Business. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder and a Member (MCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
