Mike Mason

Mike Mason is an experienced investigative reporter currently working at WOIO since September 2023. Previously, Mason served as an investigative reporter for KTUU Channel 2 from December 2021 to September 2023, and held various freelance reporting and consulting roles from 2016 to 2021. Mason's tenure at WFTX CORP from June 2011 to October 2016 included significant investigations that led to major organizational changes. Mason also launched the first I-Team at Sinclair Broadcast Group between May 2013 and May 2015, producing impactful reports. Other notable positions include investigative roles at Journal Broadcast Group and WBBH NBC-2, where Mason exposed critical safety violations and corruption in various governmental departments. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from Saint Thomas University and an Associate of Arts in Commercial Art/Advertising from International Fine Arts College.
