Nate Nielsen

Nate Nielsen has extensive experience in basketball operations and strategic planning, currently serving as the Director of Basketball Strategic Planning and Innovation for the Cleveland Cavaliers since September 2017. Previously held roles within the Cavaliers organization include Director of Process and Strategy, Basketball Operations Coordinator, Assistant to GM / Special Projects Coordinator, and Basketball Operations Seasonal Assistant. Prior to joining the Cavaliers, Nate Nielsen worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at William Blair and gained experience earlier as a Video Coordinator for the BYU Women's Basketball Team and an Analyst Intern at Peterson Partners. In 2011, Nate Nielsen began entrepreneurship as the Owner/Operator of The Mower Co. Nate Nielsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
