Charis Eng

Charis Eng currently serves as the Hardis Chair and Director at the Cleveland Clinic Genomic Medicine Institute and holds the position of Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, both since September 2005. Previous roles include Klotz Professor and Director of the Division of Human Genetics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, as well as Director of the Clinical Cancer Genetics Program and Davis Professor of Cancer Research from January 1999 to August 2005. Charis Eng's career also includes experience as an active staff adult oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School from October 1995 to December 1998, along with formal training in clinical cancer genetics at institutions like The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Addenbrooke's Hospital. Charis Eng obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a PhD in Developmental Biology and Human Genetics from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
