Lisa Thomas

Lisa Thomas, PhD retired from a career in the public sector, serving the communities of Cleveland, Lakewood, and North Olmsted over a two-decade career in local government. Dr. Thomas took her experience and obtained a Doctorate in Public Affairs and Urban Studies in 2008 from Cleveland State University, specializing in Public Administration. She also had extensive experience working in the not-for-profit sector, primarily serving the health care needs of people who are homeless. Dr. Thomas holds a BA from Coe College and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. She has served on the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Board of Education for ten years, holds a trustee position with the Ohio School Boards Association, and has been appointed to the National Buy Board, a national purchasing cooperative of the National School Boards Association.
